This is how to download solidworks but you need to download 7 zip first
after solidworks is fully downloaded it is a very big file just enter the serial number below and it should work on PCs with windows 7 to windows 10 and maybe other versions but not macs though
follow the instructions below

The left hand column should be sufficient here as the SEK serial keys should allow downloads. The right column could be done by a named person at the Uni and then copied to a server to allow Students access to it- the only requirement here is being a zip file they need to extract it and MUST use 7-zip- no other unzip tool will work.
Once extracted the setup.exe file within the folder can be run. Info below for the 7-zip extract.

Once downloaded it is imperative you extract the files with a free piece of software called 7Zip- other “extraction” tools like WinZip and WinRAR do not work with such large files and it corrupts the data.
Once successfully extracted run the “Setup.exe” file within and this begins the installation.
7-Zip can be downloaded from here and when installed will add this item to the right click menu.
